Throne of Thunder LFR Primordius Video Guide

This is a guide for Tanks, Healers, and DPS.  This is the eighth boss in Throne of Thunder and the second boss in the Halls of the Flesh-Shaper LFR.  It consists of a mutated Saurok boss and a bunch of oozes that will spawn and try to buff him.

Tanks, pull the boss from one of the pools around the edge of the room and kite him around the outer part of the room as I do here.  This is important because it will prevent the boss from gaining buffs too quickly, which we’ll explain more later.
DPS, never go in front of the boss because he does an AoE cone attack called Primordial Strike that will hurt badly.
Tanks, he will apply a DoT to the current tank called Malformed Blood.  You will need to tank swap at 7 stacks of this debuff.  If you aren’t currently tanking Primordius, run around and kill oozes to gain big buffs and turn into a Saurok, which we’ll explain next.

DPS, you’ll need to turn yourself into a Saurok to do full damage to the boss.  Kill the oozes, called Living Fluids, then stand in the red Mutagenic Pool they leave behind to get a helpful Mutation. At 10 helpful mutations, you will turn into a Saurok and can do full damage to the boss and you will have various helpful buffs.  Use your Bloodlust, Heroism, or Timewarp when most of the DPS have turned into Sauroks.
Do not absorb more pools when fully mutated or you’ll start getting debuffs.  After 2 minutes when your buffs fall off and you transform back, absorb more pools again.
Healers, you can also absorb the buffs from Mutagenic Pools.  Stand in them to receive 10 buffs and turn into a Saurok to maximize heals.  Also healers, only dispel a player if most of their mutations are harmful.
One last thing, no one stand in the purple Volatile Pools because they hurt and give you a harmful mutation.
